Local ArtFest

Downtown Bloomburg- officially the only town in Pennsylvania, recently held an ArtFest. Potters, jewelry designers, graphic and fiber artists and a children's book author were among the many fabulous and talented artists in attendance.

A fun, floral heart-shaped stoneware pendant.

A few neat ceramic buttons.
I love the potter's fingerprints in the pink buttons!

A very contemporary pendant.

Becky's Creative Spark Fridays

I'm so happy to be able to create a spark this week!!

The three sparks for this week are:

#1 Artistic theme- woodland
#2 Theme words or phrase- trees, birds, fly, clouds, moss, grass, twigs, mist

#3 photo and color palette

Woodsy Yellow Bird Necklace

To add a touch of brighter color, I chose to pull out the yellow from the photo even though it wasn't in the color palette. The clay leaf (actually a pin which I wired on) has a bit of yellow glaze and is made by a local artist, except I'm sorry to say I don't remember the name. The yellow polymer clay bird is crafted by Heather Powers, Humble Beads.

I strung some matching beads, ridged wood rondelles and a wooden button for a clasp. A simple spark.
