Bead Soup Reveal!

My bead soup day is here! Just a note- for some reason I found it difficult to photograph this necklace, so I hope you can tell how the colors correlate.

When I was first contemplating ideas from the great stuff that Stacy sent, I had planned on combining everything into one necklace to mix the metals and beads, but it actually looked like two separate pieces so that is what I went with.

For the necklace I added some more copper chain and when I made the bead dangles I added some swirls to go with the ever so cute tiny ones from Stacy, which dangle from the focal. I tied on a vintage olive button near the clasp which pulls in the olive from the Swarovski cubes.

For the bracelet I decided to combine the Bali silver, coral and chain. All I needed to add was some small coral rounds and a clasp. I think this would make a really great bracelet for summer or winter!

I'll soon be around to everyone's blog to see all the great jewelry... for now, though, I'm on my way to Amy's Creative Beads in Iowa Falls.

Oh this necklace is very cool! I love the section of double chain and that you used two tones to compliment the patina in the pendant. And I agree, that bracelet is multi-seasonal and I would wear it anywhere!!! It's fabulous. Enjoy:)

Hi Patti - I don't know if it's me or blogger, my original message didn't seem to take. I don't want you to think I don't love these-cause I do!!! Great job-enjoy!!!

I love that you went with your gut feeling that there should be two pieces - this way each component really gets to shine! Great job!

I love the dragonfly pendant! And you're right, this was a two-piece soup stock! The bracelet is great -- love the asymmetry and the chain and of course, anything red!

Hi Patti
Great job on your bead soup! I think you did a pretty good job on the photography (I also am photographically challenged!). I love the vintage olive button clasp. Both designs are wonderful!

Love the copper necklace and the fact that you hung the pendant on end and added some bead drops to the other hole. Nice idea. Coral and silver makes a great statement around one's wrist, no matter the season. Great work.

Hi Patti, I love what you did. The focus on that cool dragonfly pendant is great. The beads you added remind me of fireflies, flying around the Big Dragonfly, very summery! And the bracelet is stunning! I love red coral, even make my own faux version. Your pieces are lovely. I hope you had fun bead shopping!:)

I really like both pieces; they're quite different yet both seem to express your personal style. The bracelet works wonderfully in the red and silver; it has a great "clean" look that's perfect for summer. And that necklace... YUM. Great mix!
